Pass Plus Training
Congratulations – you’ve passed your L-Test! It’ll be a great relief to you to know that you can go out and drive on your own and let the roads take you wherever you want. The feeling of freedom is immense!
No doubt when you go out for that first drive on your own you’ll be feeling a bit nervous. It’s perfectly natural – you’ll have only ever driven before with someone sitting in the passenger seat offering help and guidance.
You’ll probably realise quite quickly that although you’ve been proved a safe enough driver to pass your L-Test there’s still loads to learn. Indeed, learning to drive never actually stops. And passing your L-Test is just the end of the beginning. You will find that the more time you spend on the roads the more anticipation skills you’ll develop to help you decide what other drivers are going to do.
* Did you realise that although only 1 in 8 drivers on the roads are aged under 25, but 1 in 3 accidents involve drivers under 25?
* Did you also realise that in the first year of driving one driver in five is involved in an accident?
To help tackle these very frightening statistics the Government and Driving Standards Agency (DSA) got together to introduce something called PASS PLUS.
PASS PLUS is a training scheme for new drivers. It's much more than just a few extra lessons. It’s a course specially designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. It will help you to,
- Gain valuable driving experience safely
- Build on your existing skills and knowledge
- Reduce your risk of being in a road crash
- Save money on car insurance premiums
- Boost your confidence
Also, It will help give extra peace of mind to your loved ones and there’s no test at the end of the course.
PASS PLUS covers the following modules:
- Town Driving
- All Weather Driving
- Driving Out of Town
- Night Driving
- Driving on Dual Carriageways
- Driving on Motorways
I can offer PASS PLUS training and take you through the full course.
It will take a minimum of six hours further training after you’ve passed your L-Test, but it could well save your life. Please contact me for further information on the course, or you can see the full details on the PASS PLUS website.
