My Training Car

Having taught students in my old Ford Fiesta for 3 years I was starting to think that it was due for a refresh. It had covered just over 60,000 miles and the clutch was starting to become a little difficult so now I've changed my car to this brand-new Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.6 TDCi 5dr.
This time I've gone for the 1.6 diesel rather than the 1.4 diesel I had before - but don't let this scare you or let you think you'll be zooming off at warp speed! I was keen to get the 1.6 diesel as it's quieter and much more forgiving when driving at slow speeds. In my old Fiesta crawing around in 1st and 2nd gear doing manouvers and junctions was quite tricky, where as in the new Fiesta they are dead easy.
I've gone with same style as my old car - so white with blue viper stripes, blacked out windows and 16" alloys - so you'll know it's me if you've seen my other car out on the roads around Melton and the villages.
This time I did test drive a Fiesta Zetec S as that's what I really wanted to get (for the big rear spoiler and bodykit) but the seats were more bucketed (making the handbrake tricky) and the seatbelt position wasn't good for short people (like me!) so I couldn't get one.
My car is equipped with:-
- He-Man Dual Controls - extra safety for you and me
- Climate Control - keeps the temperature at the best level regardless of the weather, also no 'misting up!'
- Electric Mirrors - easy to alter, no messing about
- Heated Seats - us girls get cold in winter you know!! - plus I won't tell anyone if any of the boys use it too...
- Variable Power Steering - makes manoeuvering much easier as it's lighter at slow speed than when driving faster
- 1.6 litre diesel engine - very easy to drive and great around town
- ABS Brakes System - improves breaking distances and safety in the wet
- CD Player - for me when driving between lessons!!
- Blacked Out Windows - Makes the car stay cooler in summer
- Cruise Control - for when we do pass plus or advanced dual carridgeway driving
- Blue viper stripes - Needs no explanation!!
The car is also fully insured for all drivers that I am training when accompanied by me, or if you're on test with a DSA examiner.
