Insurance for Learner Drivers

Do your parents or friends want to take you out for some practise between lessons but they don’t want to insure you on their cars?  It could be that their insurers won’t insure you or they’re worried about losing their no-claims discount should you have an accident.

Collingwood Learner Driver Insurance

A new type of insurance www.collingwoodlearners.co.uk has been launched to provide dedicated car insurance for learner drivers.  It provides instant, cheap and affordable fully comprehensive insurance cover from a minimum of 7 days onwards.  You choose how long you want the insurance to last for.  It insures YOU, the learner driver in the car that you specify when accompanied by a supervising driver.

A ‘Collingwood Learners’ policy is purely to insure the learner driver and doesn’t affect the main insurance policy for the car.  If the learner happens to have an accident in the car the claim is made against the ‘Collingwood Learners’ policy.  The main insurance for the car is not affected and the car gets repaired.  No hard earnt no-claims bonus on the family car is lost!

No doubt, this type of insurance sounds quite revolutionary and you’ll have some questions to ask, both if you’re a learner and if you’re planning on being a supervising driver.
